CAN I WASH MY GLASSWARE IN THE DISHWASHER?

Although our glassware can be washed through the dishwasher, we highly recommend hand washing in moderate to hot water with a mild detergent. Wash with a soft cloth, and dry with a clean microfibre cloth to avoid lint residue. For finishing touches, polish to keep your glassware high shine and cabinet worthy. HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO ENGRAVE BEFORE MY ORDER IS SENT OUT?

Orders take 1-2 business days to undergo engraving, hand polishing, quality control and packaging. We ensure your order is at the very best standard prior to dispatch, and packaged safe and secure to arrive into your care as beautifully as it left ours. During holiday and sale periods, orders usually take between 1-4 business days due to high demand.

I’M WORRIED MY GLASSWARE WILL ARRIVE DAMAGED.

Your glassware is in great care with us! Once your order has been finalised and
polished, your glasses will be secured inside our sturdy air-filled bubble/s (which are recyclable and/or reusable). The bubble will then be protected by our premium dust bags. To understand our packaging process, please visit our Glassware Packaging & Care Guide.

BUT WHAT IF IT DOES ARRIVE DAMAGED?

We’ve got you! On the instance your glassware does arrive damaged, please email us an image of your damaged glass within 3 days of receiving your order to hello@jamesdavisgroup.com  and we will do all we can to help you. CAN I CANCEL OR RETURN MY ORDER?

Due to the nature of personalisation, we are unable to cancel orders as the engraving process commences as soon as possible after order placement. Once a glass has been monogrammed, it has been personalised especially for you. For more information, please visit our Returns, Exchanges & Refunds page.

WHAT SHIPPING CARRIERS DO YOU USE?

We use Australia Post. We endeavour to have your glassware in your care as soon as possible, and to do that we select which courier services will be the fastest to your door. For more information, please visit our Shipping and Deliveries page.

HOW CAN I TRACK MY ORDER?

Once you have placed your order, the personalisation process begins. Soon afterwards, we will book Australia Post couriers to collect your parcel. You will then receive your tracking number via email. If you have not received your tracking number, please contact hello@jamesdavisgroup.com and we will send it through to you.

Please Note: Australia Post is experiencing delays due to the impact of COVID-19. Shipping Times may take slightly longer than usual.

Personalising and processing your order

Once you have placed your order our talented team will engrave, hand polish, and perform quality control to ensure your glassware is immaculate. Your order will then be packaged securely ready for dispatch - all within 1-2 business days of receiving your confirmation email.

You will receive an email with your tracking number once your order has been shipped. We ship orders daily between Monday and Friday, excluding Australian Public Holidays.

Do you offer free shipping?

FREE Standard Shipping is available Australia Wide on all orders via Australia Post. You will receive an email with your tracking number once your order has been shipped. We ship orders daily between Monday and Friday, excluding Australian Public Holidays.

If you are located remotely or wish to have your order delivered to your PO Box or Parcel Locker with FREE Standard shipping, we will ship your James Davis personalised glassware with Australia Post.  

Do you offer express shipping?

We want to do the best we possibly can in assisting urgent orders. Upon checkout, you can select our Express Shipping option for Australia. Our Express Shipping is a flat rate of $15 AUD.

Do you offer international shipping?

Yes! We offer International Shipping to New Zealand upon checkout at a flat rate of $30 AUD.

Duties and taxes

Please note that import duties and sales taxes are not calculated upon checkout and may be charged to you upon arrival to your country. James Davis cannot cover the duties and taxes charged to you. If you would like further information, please contact your local customs office.

How long will delivery take?

James Davis is located in Victoria. FREE Standard Shipping timeframes are as follows:

  • 2-6 business days for NSW & ACT addresses
  • 3-8 business days for QLD, VIC, SA, WA, TAS, NT.
  • 3-10 business days for NZ.

Our Express Shipping will most likely reach you within:

  • 1-3 business days for NSW, ACT, QLD, and VIC
  • 1-5 business days for SA, WA, NT and TAS.
  • 3-7 business days for NZ.

Shipping policies

  • If your item is returned to sender, a charge of $15 AUD will be requested to you for your item to be re-sent.
  • Shipping charges are non-refundable.
  • Once your order has been processed, we cannot modify or cancel your order due to the nature of personalisation and turnaround times.
  • All shipping timeframes stated above for standard, express and international are estimates only. James Davis cannot be held responsible for delays, delivery or services performed by postal services.

PERSONALISED ENGRAVING POLICY

All glassware purchases follow the specifications and data outlined by you upon order. We will customise your glassware to the exact outlines provided by you.

Orders are unable to be changed, cancelled, refunded, returned, or exchanged in line with our personalisation policy.

PRE-ORDERS

Pre-ordered items are final sale and cannot be refunded. If you wish to exchange the glass type or edit the personalisation, please contact hello@jamesdavisgroup.com  as soon as possible after your order placement. We will do our best to accommodate your request.

RETURNS

We do not accept returns for change of mind due to the nature of personalisation.

CANCELLATIONS

Once your order has been placed our skilled team will begin the customised engraving process as soon as possible to ensure the fastest possible delivery. We are unable to cancel your order as once your glassware has been monogrammed, it is unsuitable for re-sale.

EXCHANGES

If you wish to exchange your glass type for another style, please email hello@jamesdavisgroup.comimmediately after you place your order. If the personalisation process has already begun for your original order, we will be unable to exchange your glasses.

REFUNDS

We are not able to refund orders that have been custom made to your specifications including any and all monogramming requests.

DAMAGED OR BROKEN GLASSWARE

At James Davis, we take the utmost care in providing the safest and most secure packaging - ensuring your glassware arrives in your care undamaged. In the rare circumstance your glassware arrives chipped, broken, or damaged please follow the instructions below:

  • Photo 1: Take a clear photo of your damaged glassware within its original packaging, ensuring the fault is visible and item has not been removed.
  • Photo 2: Take a photo close-up to the damaged area on your glassware, with the engraving legible within the image.
  • Email: Include your 2 images within 3 days of receiving your order to hello@jamesdavisgroup.com and our team will organise a replacement for you as soon as possible.

Do not remove the damaged glass from the packaging to prevent injury. 

Please do not return the broken glass as it is illegal to send dangerous items in the post.

GLASSWARE CHARACTERISTICS – BUBBLES / SEEDS

Our glassware at James Davis is expertly hand blown. Each glass is unique and of its own kind. This means there may be slight variations between each glass.

Seeds and bubbles are formed by gases when chemicals are mixed throughout the melting or fusing process. Bubbles and seed are considered a characteristic of hand blown glassware and are not considered a flaw or fault.

Bubbles or seeds that compromise the look of the final product - along the rim, through the glass, or too close to the personalisation - will not be dispatched.

GLASSWARE CHARACTERISTICS - LINES WITHIN CRYSTAL

During the fusing process of molten crystal, very incremental differences in thickness may occur resulting in a thin line within the crystal. These lines do not shorten the lifespan of the glassware and are only visible when the glass is empty.

When your glass is full, light refraction turns these lines invisible. The line may be visible upon close inspection of the empty glass and are considered a characteristic of handmade crystal glassware. 

All glassware undergoes thorough quality control. Upon inspection of your glassware, if lines are deemed to compromise the final look of the glass they will not be dispatched.
