Returns, Exchanges and Refunds

This page contains important details about how James Davis handles returns, exchanges and refunds.

 

Personalised engraving policy

All glassware purchases follow the specifications and data outlined by you upon order. We will customise your glassware to the exact outlines provided by you.
Orders are unable to be changed, cancelled, refunded, returned, or exchanged in line with our personalisation policy.

Pre-orders

Pre-ordered items are final sale and cannot be refunded. If you wish to exchange the glass type or edit the personalisation, please contact hello@jamesdavisgroup.com  as soon as possible after your order placement. We will do our best to accommodate your request.

Returns

We do not accept returns for change of mind due to the nature of personalisation.

Cancellations

Once your order has been placed our skilled team will begin the customised engraving process as soon as possible to ensure the fastest possible delivery. We are unable to cancel your order as once your glassware has been monogrammed, it is unsuitable for re-sale.

Exchanges

If you wish to exchange your glass type for another style, please email hello@jamesdavisgroup.com immediately after you place your order. If the personalisation process has already begun for your original order, we will be unable to exchange your glasses.

Refunds

We are not able to refund orders that have been custom made to your specifications including any and all monogramming requests.

Damaged or broken glassware

At James Davis, we take the utmost care in providing the safest and most secure packaging - ensuring your glassware arrives in your care undamaged. In the rare circumstance your glassware arrives chipped, broken, or damaged please follow the instructions below:

  • Photo 1:Take a clear photo of your damaged glassware within its original packaging, ensuring the fault is visible and item has not been removed.
  • Photo 2:Take a photo close-up to the damaged area on your glassware, with the engraving legible within the image.
  • Email: Include your 2 images within 3 days of receiving your order to hello@jamesdavisgroup.com and our team will organise a replacement for you as soon as possible.

Do not remove the damaged glass from the packaging to prevent injury. 

Please do not return the broken glass as it is illegal to send dangerous items in the post.

Glassware characteristics - bubbles / seeds

Our glassware at James Davis is expertly hand blown. Each glass is unique and of its own kind. This means there may be slight variations between each glass.

Seeds and bubbles are formed by gases when chemicals are mixed throughout the melting or fusing process. Bubbles and seed are considered a characteristic of hand blown glassware and are not considered a flaw or fault.

Bubbles or seeds that compromise the look of the final product - along the rim, through the glass, or too close to the personalisation - will not be dispatched.

Glassware characteristics - lines within crystal

During the fusing process of molten crystal, very incremental differences in thickness may occur resulting in a thin line within the crystal. These lines do not shorten the lifespan of the glassware and are only visible when the glass is empty.

When your glass is full, light refraction turns these lines invisible. The line may be visible upon close inspection of the empty glass and are considered a characteristic of handmade crystal glassware. 

All glassware undergoes thorough quality control. Upon inspection of your glassware, if lines are deemed to compromise the final look of the glass they will not be dispatched.
